Malta's leading maritime training and simulator centre — from STCW Basic Safety to Yachtmaster and engineering Certificates of Competency, all delivered under Transport Malta, DNV and SQA accreditation.
Book direct →MaritimeMT is Malta's dedicated maritime education and training institution, operating from Hal Far in the south of the island. As an accredited Maritime Training and Simulator Centre by DNV, the school delivers an unusually broad curriculum: from entry-level deckhand and STCW Basic Safety packages right through to Transport Malta Certificates of Competency at Officer of the Watch, Chief Mate and Master level for vessels up to 3,000 GT.
The school holds accreditation from Transport Malta (the flag-state authority for Maltese-registered vessels), the international classification society DNV, and SQA — giving its qualifications broad recognition across Mediterranean fleets and beyond. Courses span the full crewing hierarchy: deck, engineering, GMDSS communications, interior hospitality, medical, and the leadership and management module HELM (Operational), all regularly scheduled throughout the year.
Malta's position at the centre of the Mediterranean, combined with its role as one of Europe's largest ship registries, makes it a practical and strategically well-placed location for crew seeking Transport Malta certificates. MaritimeMT's online booking system allows direct enrolment with published prices and dates for most courses.
