Delete my account

We will permanently delete your account and all associated data — certificates, profile, and personal information — within 30 days of receiving your request.

Common questions

How do I add a certificate?

Tap the + button on the Certificates screen. You can upload a PDF, take a photo with your camera, or bulk import multiple files at once. The AI will read the document and fill in the details automatically — you can review and adjust before saving.

The AI scanned my certificate incorrectly — what do I do?

AI extraction isn't always perfect. Tap Edit on any certificate to correct the title, dates or type manually. Always verify the dates against your original document before relying on them.

How do I share my certificates?

Open the Certificates screen and tap the Share icon on any certificate, or select multiple certificates and share them as a bundle. Recipients receive a clean PDF — no app or account needed on their end.

How do I set up expiry reminders?

Reminders are set per certificate. Tap any certificate, then Cal to add its expiry to your calendar, or configure push notification intervals in your profile settings. Make sure notifications are enabled for YachtSync in your device settings.

How do I manage or cancel my Pro subscription?

Your subscription is managed through your Apple ID. Go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone to view, change or cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep Pro access until then.

I upgraded to Pro but the app still shows Free — what do I do?

Go to your profile in the app and tap Restore Purchases. This re-checks your entitlement with Apple and should update immediately. If it doesn't, email us at support@yachtsync.uk with your Apple ID email and we'll sort it out.

How do I delete my account?

Go to your profile in the app and scroll to the bottom — you'll find a Delete Account option. This permanently removes your account and all certificates within 30 days. If you have trouble, email support@yachtsync.uk and we'll handle it manually.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Your certificates are stored encrypted in the EU (Dublin, Ireland). We don't sell your data and we don't use your documents to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy and Security page for full details.
