WHAT IS THIS COURSE?

Course Overview

The RYA Competent Crew course (RYA Level 1) is the entry point to the RYA Training Scheme for sailing. This 5-day practical on-water course teaches fundamental sailing skills and seamanship for crew on cruising yachts.

Prerequisites

  • Age 16 or over
  • Good swimming ability
  • No prior sailing experience required
