About ScotSail

ScotSail is an RYA Recognised Training Centre operating from Largs on Scotland's West Coast — one of the country's premier cruising grounds. The school delivers a full sail cruising programme from beginner Competent Crew courses through Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper, and up to Yachtmaster and International Certificate of Competence (ICC) level, alongside a dedicated powerboat programme.

On the power side, ScotSail offers RYA Powerboat Level 1 and Level 2 training, making it a well-rounded centre for anyone building practical skills afloat. The school also delivers the RYA/MCA VHF Marine Radio Short Range Certificate (SRC) — available as a one-day classroom course at Largs Yacht Haven or as a time-unlimited online course with RYA instructor support, assessed by 25 multiple-choice questions.

Largs sits on the Firth of Clyde and provides access to outstanding coastal cruising waters, island passages and tidal channels — conditions ideally suited to progressive RYA training at every level.
