Rough guide built by YachtSync from published average prices for mid-range hotels and guesthouses in each town (travel-cost guides, tourism sites and travel price indices), with at least two sources per town. Never from Booking.com. Refreshed quarterly.

Sources: trivago (usually £101 to £269 a night, typical £135; lowest month April £106); KAYAK (average weeknight £112; lowest month November, average £74; dearest month January, average £133).
