Rough guide built by YachtSync from published average prices for mid-range hotels and guesthouses in each town (travel-cost guides, tourism sites and travel price indices), with at least two sources per town. Never from Booking.com. Refreshed quarterly.
- Cole Bay, $135 to $320, checked 23 Sep 2026. Cole Bay has few hotels of its own, so this is based on neighbouring Simpson Bay, about 2 km away, checked against island-wide reported spending. Priced in US dollars, the money every source and the island's hotels quote in (the official currency is the Caribbean guilder). Low end from the published lower bound, high end from the published typical price; hostels and luxury left out. trivago gave GBP, converted to USD at the ECB rate on 2026-09-22 and rounded. December to April runs higher. Sources: trivago (Simpson Bay) (usually £100 to £629 a night (from about $135), typical £239 (about $320); lowest month October £130 (about $175)); BudgetYourTrip (Sint Maarten) (typical double-occupancy hotel room $412, from travellers' reported spending); Doing Business in the Dutch Caribbean, St. Maarten tax guide (5% room tax levied from non-resident guests of hotels and guesthouses).
