About Palma Powerboat Training

Palma Powerboat Training is an RYA-recognised training centre based at Club de Mar in Palma de Mallorca, offering a focused range of powerboat and personal watercraft courses on the crystal-clear waters of the western Mediterranean. All instruction is delivered by qualified RYA instructors in small groups, ensuring plenty of hands-on time on the water.

The centre provides the RYA Powerboat Level 2 / ICC qualification over two days, suitable for those with little or no experience as well as those refining existing skills. An accelerated one-day Level 2 Direct Assessment is also available for experienced drivers seeking to gain the ICC. For those interested in personal watercraft, the one-day RYA PWC Proficiency (jetski) course covers all key handling skills with a strong emphasis on safety.

Operating from one of Palma’s premier marinas, the school benefits from sheltered harbour waters for initial skill-building and open Mediterranean conditions for more advanced handling. Bespoke own-boat tuition is also offered, making Palma Powerboat Training particularly well suited to superyacht crew and tender operators seeking internationally recognised qualifications.

Mallorca is an island; cars must arrive by ferry from Barcelona, Valencia or Dénia, or be hired locally on arrival. The Ma-19 motorway connects the airport to Palma city centre in around 15–20 minutes. Paid parking is available throughout central Palma; the old town has limited street parking so car parks near Parc de la Mar are recommended.
