About Athina Training Center

Athina Training Center — operating as the Athina Maritime Learning & Development Center — is a recognised maritime training institution based in Voula on the Athenian Riviera. The centre delivers a comprehensive suite of STCW-compliant programmes, from foundational Basic Safety Training to advanced certificates of proficiency and competence, as well as specialist courses in engineering and electro-technical operations.

Courses are structured to meet flag-state approval requirements and include refresher and update programmes designed to support continued professional competence for seafarers already certificated under STCW. The centre’s engineering pathway covers the Advanced Engineering Certificate (AEC), Motor Engine Operator Licence (MEOL) and yacht ticketing qualifications, making it a practical choice for crew looking to advance into technical roles.

Athina Training Center has been independently audited by DNV/GL and its courses carry approval from the Maltese Maritime Administration, providing crew with internationally recognised documentary evidence of training that satisfies the requirements of many flag states and port-state control inspections.
