Rooster is a platform-first agency founded in 2020 by Jack Greene, a former yachtie, with roots in New Zealand and an international reach. The approach is deliberately light on paperwork: two simple pathways, direct contact with the team, and a mantra of good people on good boats.

What stands out is video. Rooster screens crew using short introduction video profiles of around thirty seconds, so a candidate can convey personality that a CV cannot. It reports over one hundred yachts on its books, with a focus on expedition and multi-yacht programmes, and the team keeps a veto on any placement that does not feel right.

You register and manage everything through the app at app.roosterrecruitment.com. Note the agency does not publish a street office address on its own site. For crew who like a tech-led process that is unlikely to matter; if you want a walk-in office, look elsewhere.
