About JMS Yachting
JMS Yachting was founded in 2015 by Franc Jansen and is an independent yacht management firm with offices in Monaco, Palma, Fort Lauderdale, Dubai and the UK. Crew recruitment runs as a separate division, JMS Yachting Careers, at jmscareers.com. The wider business manages a large fleet and reports placing or managing around 750 crew a year.
Compliance is a clear strength on paper. The team is described as MLC-certified, and the group holds ISM, ISPS and MLC certifications along with flag-state documents of compliance. That management background means crew are placed by a company that also runs vessels day to day.
One caveat. The careers site sits separately from the main brand, so confirm the current registration route directly before relying on it.
No agency should ever ask you to pay to register. They are paid by the yacht that hires through them, never by you. If anyone asks for money upfront to join their books or guarantee a placement, treat it as a red flag. See yacht crew job scams and red flags.
