WHAT IS THIS COURSE?

Course Overview

The RYA Coastal Skipper Practical course teaches advanced sailing skills for skippering a sailing yacht in coastal waters. This on-water course (5 days minimum) covers boat handling, navigation, seamanship, and crew management.

Prerequisites

  • RYA Day Skipper or equivalent
  • Sailing experience (40+ days recommended)
  • Competent swimmer
