Course Overview

The RYA Advanced Powerboat course (RYA Level 2) develops practical powerboat handling skills for crew operating rigid and semi-rigid inflatable boats. This shorebased theory and on-water course teaches advanced boat control, navigation, and seamanship.

Prerequisites

  • RYA Powerboat Level 1 or equivalent sea experience
  • Good swimming ability
  • Age 16 or over
  • Basic boat handling knowledge
