Course Overview

The RYA Advanced Powerboat course (RYA Level 2) develops practical powerboat handling skills for crew operating rigid and semi-rigid inflatable boats. This shorebased theory and on-water course teaches advanced boat control, navigation, and seamanship.

Prerequisites

RYA Powerboat Level 1 or equivalent sea experience
Good swimming ability
Age 16 or over
Basic boat handling knowledge
