Course Overview

The Qualified Assessor (QA) course trains personnel to conduct and certify competency assessments in maritime training and on-the-job evaluations. This USCG-recognized program is for instructors and company assessors.

Prerequisites

  • Valid USCG Merchant Mariner Credential
  • Three years sea service in designated role
  • Training and experience in assessment methodology (company may provide)
  • English proficiency
