Course Overview

The OUPV is a United States Coast Guard credential allowing individuals to operate small passenger vessels (up to 100 passengers) without federal inspection. This commercial boat operator license is widely recognised for charter and tour operations along the US coast and inland waterways.

Prerequisites

  • US Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) or valid passport
  • Minimum 1 year of vessel operating experience (180 days minimum)
  • Valid medical examination (US USCG approved)
  • Age 18 or older
