Course Overview

Basic Machinist provides hands-on practical training in marine engine room machinery, mechanical systems and equipment troubleshooting. Students learn diesel engine operation, pump systems, shafting and propulsion equipment maintenance. This 16-day intensive course prepares crew to perform competent maintenance and repairs aboard commercial vessels.
