Course Overview

The Able Seafarer-Engine (ASE) course trains engine department personnel to perform duties on a wide range of vessels. This IMO-compliant programme provides internationally recognised certification for engine room crew working on merchant vessels.

Prerequisites

  • Minimum 18 months sea service in engine room
  • Basic engine room knowledge and experience
  • Valid medical fitness certificate
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
