WHAT IS THIS COURSE?

Course Overview

Advanced Firefighting (AFF) trains maritime personnel to extinguish major fires aboard ship, using specialist equipment and advanced tactical methods. Fulfils STCW Regulation A-VI/3 requirements for officers and crew on commercial vessels requiring demonstrated competency in fire suppression and emergency response.

Prerequisites

  • Basic Safety Training (STCW A-VI/1) completion
  • Minimum 12 months sea service (recommended)
  • Medical fitness and physical capability
  • Age 18 or over
