Course Overview

STCW A-VI/2-1 combined qualification covering both lifeboats and rescue boats (excluding fast rescue craft). Mandatory for crew on ships with survival equipment stations.

Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 18
  • Valid medical certificate
  • Basic Safety Training or STCW Part A-VI/1-1
  • Swimming ability (50 metres minimum)
  • Physical fitness for emergency duties
