WHAT IS THIS COURSE?

Course Overview

STCW A-VI/2-1 training covering operation and deployment of lifeboats and rescue boats (excluding fast rescue craft). Required for crew members designated to lifeboat stations, this course includes practical water-based skills.

Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 18
  • Valid medical certificate
  • Basic Safety Training (BST) or equivalent
  • Ability to swim 50 metres
  • Reasonable fitness for water safety work
