WHAT IS THIS COURSE?

Course Overview

IMO Model Course 1.14 qualifying crew members to provide emergency first aid to other seafarers on board commercial vessels. This is a fundamental STCW A-VI/4(1) certificate required for deck and engine crew on certain ship types.

Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 16
  • Valid medical fitness for seagoing service
  • Basic English communication skills
  • No formal medical background required
