Course Overview

A standardised 40-hour Able Seaman (MARINS-1) certification programme for deck personnel. This competency-based, IMO-compliant course trains candidates to meet international standards for deck crew working on merchant vessels.

Prerequisites

  • Minimum 18 months sea service as a rating
  • Competency in seamanship fundamentals
  • Valid medical fitness certificate
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
